Plowman Craven has welcomed Josh Allan to its Infrastructure team, bringing experience in drone operations, offshore inspection and team leadership. It is great to see the team strengthened by the addition of Josh Allan this year.
Josh has spent seven years planning and delivering remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) operations across defence, security and offshore energy environments. Most recently, Josh Allan worked on inspections of offshore oil and gas platforms and vessels, using aerial imagery and specialist sensors to help assess structures and support asset integrity work. His experience also includes methane and carbon dioxide emissions surveys.
Alongside flight operations, Josh has trained and mentored drone pilots and led teams working in complex environments. He brings a strong focus on planning, safety and clear reporting, as well as experience capturing geospatial data for 3D models, orthomosaics and digital terrain models. Notably, Josh Allan has played an important role in mentoring future talent within the team.
Josh’s route into the geospatial industry reflects something we value at Plowman Craven: the skills people develop across different careers. His operational and military background has given him experience in making sound decisions under pressure, working with a range of partners and helping others develop their capabilities.
As our Infrastructure team grows and develops its inspection services across offshore energy and wider energy markets, Josh will bring that experience to the team while continuing to build his own technical skills. Clearly, Josh Allan will be a valuable asset as the team expands.
