They explained how accurate survey information supports the planning, design and delivery of buildings and infrastructure, and explored the role of drone technology within the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students also had the opportunity to get hands-on with surveying equipment, bringing the discussion to life and giving them a closer look at some of the technology used across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session highlighted different routes into surveying and the variety of opportunities available in a profession that combines technology, problem solving and outdoor work. For students considering their next steps, it was a chance to discover an industry they may not previously have considered and understand how their interests and skills could translate into a future career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/plowmancraven.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/10\/IMG-20261020-WA0016-2048x1536.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17281\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At Plowman Craven, investing in the future of our industry means supporting people as well as developing technology.
