These include infrastructure inspection and surveying, aviation, engineering, and regulatory development. Importantly, the organisation works closely with government departments, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and industry groups. This collaboration helps shape the future of drone operations in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zara was nominated by senior industry figures including Plowman Craven Managing Director James Arnott and ARPAS-UK director Craig Lippett. They recognised her enthusiasm, communication skills, and forward-thinking approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the appointment, James Arnott, pictured below said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cZara represents exactly the kind of energy and innovation our industry needs. She brings a modern perspective, a strong technical understanding and a real passion for engaging the next generation of drone professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the ARPAS-UK annual conference and AGM, attended by more than 100 industry members, Zara delivered a speech. She outlined her vision for the future of the association and the wider drone sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Among her priorities are increasing STEM outreach, improving social media and digital engagement. Furthermore, she is making technical discussions more accessible to newcomers entering the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThere are so many different routes into drone careers,\u201d Zara explained. \u201cI want ARPAS-UK to showcase that better and create more engaging content that helps people understand the opportunities available.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n She also believes the industry must continue evolving to attract younger talent and wider participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSometimes industries can unintentionally create barriers with too much jargon or assumptions about what people already know. I think it\u2019s important that people feel comfortable asking questions, learning and contributing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zara\u2019s appointment comes at a significant moment for the UK drone sector.
