Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our Smart Monitoring division, supporting both commercial and operational project functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within project engineering while working on a diverse portfolio of structural and environmental monitoring projects.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of monitoring projects from planning through to completion, preparing technical documentation, producing client reports, coordinating project activities and supporting Project Managers with the successful delivery of multiple live projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers, clients and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, while developing your technical expertise and progressing your career within a collaborative and innovative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
•Prepare technical data reports for clients, analysing and processing monitoring data using MS Excel and specialist software.

•Produce project documentation, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, work programmes and project schedules.
•Coordinate project documentation to support reporting, commercial tracking and project deliverables.
•Support Project Managers with the day-to-day delivery of multiple monitoring projects.
•Liaise with clients and third parties to arrange site access and coordinate project activities.
•Attend client meetings and site visits to assess monitoring installations, validate designs and undertake Health & Safety audits.
•Prepare progress reports, commercial forecasts and maintain accurate project records.
•Assist with bid submissions, technical proposals and design documentation while contributing to continuous improvements across the Smart Monitoring team.
What We’re Looking For
•Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline, or at least one year’s post-graduate experience within construction, surveying or monitoring.
•Experience of structural, geotechnical or environmental monitoring, including automated monitoring systems and/or manual surveying instrumentation.
•Experience producing technical reports, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and other project documentation.
•Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present technical monitoring data.
•Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
•Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
•A proactive, collaborative approach with a desire to develop towards Project Management.
•CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain) and willingness to attend site visits as required.
