ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Building Survey Consultant, you will spearhead the development and delivery of our building survey consultancy offering. You will act as a trusted adviser to clients, guiding them toward pragmatic, proportionate, and effective building survey solutions. These solutions support informed decision-making across their property portfolios.
The role combines hands-on technical delivery with strategic oversight. You will undertake and manage building surveys covering fabric, structure, and building services on a turnkey basis. These surveys support both asset management strategies and technical due diligence requirements. You will also be responsible for managing external building survey suppliers, ensuring consistency, quality, and value. Furthermore, you will lay the foundations for an in-house building surveying capability as the consultancy grows.
Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will support the commercial growth of the Asset Management division by strengthening and expanding our building survey consultancy. You will identify opportunities and lead the development of proposals. You will also leverage both existing and newly formed client relationships through your technical expertise. Moreover, you will apply professional curiosity, commercial awareness and solution‑led thinking to help shape survey scopes, encourage appropriate service uptake, and demonstrate the value of high‑quality building survey outputs.
This is an opportunity to shape a core service line within the Asset Management Division. You will drive best practice and build a high-performing team. This team strengthens our reputation for technical excellence and commercial insight.

- Provide other sales focused colleagues with high‑quality client insight, technical guidance and market intelligence gained through survey delivery. This ensures future opportunities are well‑qualified and survey‑led.
- Lead the development of a core in‑house building survey team, including mentoring and supporting junior staff as the service grows.
