At Plowman Craven, giving back to our communities is something we truly value, and this festive season has been no exception.
For the 8th year running, we were proud to support KidsOut’s Giving Tree, an inspiring initiative that provides toys and gifts to children living in refuge after fleeing domestic abuse. These children often arrive with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing, having left their homes in extremely distressing circumstances. Without initiatives like the Giving Tree, many would receive no gifts at all at Christmas.
Following on from our earlier appeal, we’re delighted to share that thanks to the generosity of our incredible team, we reached our goal of gifting every child on the list, with additional donations allowing us to support even more children. It has been genuinely heart-warming to see colleagues come together once again to make such a meaningful difference.
Led by our Business Support Manager, Zoe McLeod, the Giving Tree was proudly displayed in our Harpenden office, where colleagues could take a tag, purchase a gift, and return it unwrapped to the tree. Many also helped by sharing the appeal more widely or donating through the KidsOut online shop, every contribution played a part.
The response from across the business has been nothing short of amazing. From choosing thoughtful gifts to spreading the word, the kindness shown by our people has helped bring comfort, joy and a sense of normality to children who truly deserve a reason to smile this Christmas.
